Assistant Treasury Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Treasury Accountant to join our friendly team in Chorley. This is primarily an office-based role, with some flexibility for remote working.
You will work closely with the Treasury Accountant ensuring effective cash management, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness across multiple entities and bank accounts. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional looking to deepen their treasury expertise in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

Office: Perspective Financial Group Limited 
Location:​ Chorley
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm with a one hour break (35 hours)
Salary: Competitive dependant on experience and qualifications. Available upon request.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience (preferred, not mandatory)

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA.
  • Prior experience in treasury, finance, or banking operations.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Group Treasury Accountant, supporting day-to-day treasury operations.
  • Allocate daily cash movements to appropriate expense types across the group.
  • Perform short-term cash forecasting to maintain healthy balances across approximately 20 core bank accounts.
  • Monitor Capital Adequacy (CapAd) for all regulated entities and initiate interentity cash transfers as needed.
  • Manage M&A-related bank closure reporting, coordinating with internal teams to ensure all transactions are completed prior to account termination.
  • Prepare mandate change documentation and assist in annual M&A business reviews.
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and treasury-related tasks as required.
