Job Description
We have a fantastic vacancy for a Trainee Office Administrator to join our expanding team in Darlington. This is a multi-faceted role where you will gain experience in providing high quality office support in a busy and professional environment, which will be invaluable to the whole team. You will act as the point of contact for colleagues and clients, both over the phone and in person, as well as liaising with product providers and supporting the team with all aspects of the general office administration. You will also be supported with training and development to achieve a Business Administration Apprenticeship.

Location: Darlington
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm with a one hour break (35 hours)
Salary: Competitive dependant on experience and qualifications. Available upon request.

Job Requirements
- Taking inbound/outbound calls in a professional manner.
- Emailing clients/providers in a professional manner.
- Speaking to clients face to face in a professional manner.
- Arranging Client Appointments.
- Scanning
- Postal duties
- Learning our processes and procedures, including review packs and the processing of new business.
- Achieve a working knowledge of our back-office systems.
- Achieve a working knowledge of our Teams Channels & phone system.
- Placing stationary order and keeping stocks up to date.
Due to the nature of the business, the role may also include additional responsibilities considered reasonable.
Job Responsibilities
You will need to be motivated, friendly and professional at all times and able to hold conversations with third parties, representing the company in a professional manner. You will also be skilled in, or have the ability to learn:
- Confident with IT and Microsoft office software packages, especially Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
- Excellent planning, organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to produce concise business correspondence, proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Flexibility/ adaptability to cope with change.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
